THE STORY:

Finally, a lilac Clouded tee - my fave colour and lots of you have been asking for it! This tee features our little globe character enjoying their travels in Japan with the quote 'embrace the uncertainty'.
Sakura means cherry blossom in Japanese. The national flower represents renewal, fragility of life and optimism for the future. The torii gate is also featured in the design which is a common symbol in Japan.
'Embrace the uncertainty' is one of my favourite quotes and the one I try to live by the most. I've been trying to incorporate it into a design since the very, very beginning and now it's finally found it's perfect home on the SAKURA tee. It can mean whatever you want it to, but I take it as ignoring fear and anxious thoughts and just living your life, taking the risks. I've found some ideas:
  • dont resist, just learn to accept
  • invest in yourself (self care isn't selfish)
  • don't always jump to the worst scenario (what if the best outcome happens instead?)
  • the opposite of uncertainty is not certainty; it's presence (notice your emotions, we can control where our attention is)
  • take responsibility for your own life
  • find meaning in chaos (everything happens for a reason, ichigo ichie!!)

To minimize shrinking and twisting, it is recommended that the wash temperature does not exceed 40C in a standard or delicate washing cycle, and the garments are reshaped before drying on a line or flat. Hot washes and tumble drying is likely to affect the dimensional stability of the garments and may also cause fading of colour. For the sake of protecting the environment, we say: wash at 30C or below, do not tumble dry, line dry and only iron when necessary.
