Fu/foo dogs resemble lion dogs in Chinese culture, or in today's society are similar to shih tzu's and chow chows. They are guardians and protectors, symbolising good luck, safety and protection. The female tends to hold a puppy under her paw, showing maternal instincts and loyalty, whilst the male holds a ball representing the Earth. In this design, the fu dog is protecting a yin and yang symbol. Yin and Yang is about accepting life's contrasts and learning to see the good and the bad in everything. It is about complimentary forces, rather than opposing. The female and male fu dogs symbolise the idea of yin and yang.
The Japanese kanji on the scroll reads 'Kishikaisei' - a quote I love which needed to be shared on a Clouded design. It translates simply to 'wake from death and return to life' - which can be understood as turning a negative situation into a positive one or rebounding from a hopeless situation. Similar to 'if life gives you lemons, make lemonade'!
We love the power behind this tee and the colour palette of steel blue, silver/grey and teal.
Fun fact: I am obsessed with Guardians of the Galaxy so there's a few hints to it throughout Clouded - including this tee literally being called 'Guardian'.

To minimize shrinking and twisting, it is recommended that the wash temperature does not exceed 40C in a standard or delicate washing cycle, and the garments are reshaped before drying on a line or flat. Hot washes and tumble drying is likely to affect the dimensional stability of the garments and may also cause fading of colour. For the sake of protecting the environment, we say: wash at 30C or below, do not tumble dry, line dry and only iron when necessary.
